Clara Claus Saves Christmas School Visit

I had a wonderful afternoon visiting Potley Hill Primary School in Hampshire recently.  I was made to feel very welcome by their lovely teaching team and was joined by years two, three and four as I read an extract from Clara Claus Saves Christmas, ran a festive quiz and spoke about how I came up with the idea for Clara Claus. My thanks to the school for having me, I had a great time.

I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon at Holy Cross RC Primary School in south west London. Â I was joined by years one, two and three as I spoke about writing Clara Claus Saves Christmas, read an extract from the book, ran a Christmas quiz, handed out Clara stickers, and was then joined by Nomad Books as I signed copies of Clara Claus Saves Christmas for the children. My thanks to the school for inviting me.

I had the pleasure to read a few pages of Clara Claus Saves Christmas to the pupils at Parklee Primary School. Once everyone was feeling the festive spirit we talked about naming and creating characters (including reindeers), and our own stories and then had a Christmas quiz with class versus class. Not long before Christmas now and my next virtual visit was to the pupils at St Thomas CE Primary School who gave me a fantastic welcome. I read a few pages of Clara Claus Saves Christmas to get everyone into the festive spirit. A big thank you to Wonderland Bookshop for hosting the Clara Claus Saves Christmas book launch online. Lots of people joined us, and it was great to be able to talk about how the book went from an initial idea to the final printed version. I also got the chance to deliver a short reading too getting everyone into the festive spirit in October!
